RYA Training in Gibraltar
Its good to see that we are not the only ones with strong winds, Here is an image of Seaworlf making the most of 40kts of wind to do some storm sail practice during the latest RYA sailing course in Gibraltar.
One of our partners yachts has an opening for a skipper/tactician for the duration or Cork Week, please get in touch if you are interested in great opportunity to further your skills.
Join us from Saturday 12th July through to Friday 18th July for some of the best sailing and certainly the best on-shore based entertainment. There will be six different Race Courses and more than 20 different yacht classes to compete in.
Well done to the 2 teams at Sailing Logic, who finished really well in the first Race of the season. Sailing Logic work closely with us handling all our yacht racing enquiries.
You can keep up to date with all the spring series yacht results on the sailing Logic yacht racing blog
Dave has still been out sailing in Gibraltar on seawolf, our Pronavia 38 now permanently based in Gibraltar. Just look at all that sunshine and clear water.
Dave had also recently been given full RYA school status, please contact us if you wish to complete any of the following RYA courses in Gibraltar.
RYA tidal practical courses, Competent Crew, Day Skipper, Coastal Skipper through to the prestigious Yachtmaster Offshore.
A great Cowes Week video from last year, giving a little history on this now world famous yachting event.
This year we are able to offer both Corporate Yacht charter (Non Race) - Corporate race entry, and for the more hardened racer, full race training and entry. Days at cowes week can range from Single days to the entire week.
With the round the Island race already almost fully booked, Cowes Week yacht charter will be the next main event we are able to offer for some great corporate sailing.
The highlight of the RORC (Royal Ocean Racing Club) calendar in 2008 has to be the inaugural Madeira race which will start on August 11 2008 just off Cowes. The race is split between two legs of 1300 miles each with a stop over in Madeira.
So for those of you looking for a real adventure this year, or a top up after the Fastnet 07 then this could be the yacht race for you...
Make no mistake, this will be a tough ocean race that will push the teams aboard our charter yachts to their limits.
The team will develop and train over the summer in and around the solent. Philippe Falle one of the countries most successful offshore skippers will lead the team over the summer period of training, leading up to the race itself - making sure the team have built a strong camaraderie and a unified set of core values and goals.
If you are interested in joining Philippe aboard Puma Logic for the Madeira race then please feel free to contact us.
Its going to be good, and if not this year then there is always the 2009 Fastnet Yacht Race.
