Gibraltar Regatta and the

Gibraltar Regatta 24th/25th July 2010

there are only 2 crew places available for this year Gibraltar regatta (around the cans racing in Gibraltar Bay) on the Saturday then sailing around the Rock race on Sunday. Seawolf and sister-ship Bongani will once again be racing in the same class and hoping to repeat the 1,2 results as in there last meeting in the 33rd mar de Alboran regatta last month.
We have 2 crew places still available at £250.00 per person, including evenings training in the week prior.
Contact us to book your place in the biggest event in the Gibraltar yachting calender.

There is also another fantastic regatta later in the year that can simply not be missed,

The Melilla XIV Regatta

Date                        9th to 15th August 2010
Location                   Melilla (Spanish enclave on the North Moroccan Coast)
Cost                        GBP490.00 including feeder race from Spain to Melilla
Travel                      Direct flights into Gibraltar and Malaga

This great Regatta begins with some mile building of over 100 miles from Gib to Melilla, after a days rest, 3 days of around the cans racing follow outside the port of Melilla in the sun drenched Mediterranean sea.

As Melilla is so remote, the City and the Yacht club go to extreme lengths to make all visiting yachts and crew welcome, with lavish banquettes and unparalleled shore side hospitality and assistance.

Getting to Gibraltar is easier than you think

Its now 2 weeks and counting before the start of this years Alboran race, preparations are busily underway to ensure Seawolf and Bongani are in tip top racing condition. This will be Bongani's first Mediterranean race event, so lets hope her sister ship Seawolf keeps a close eye on her. (mostly from behind)

The race will now start at 1pm on the 29th April from Club Candado Malaga, finishing on Friday at Real Club Nautico Motril. We will be sailing from Gibraltar on Tuesday 27th April, returning on May 2nd.  Good luck to the 2 teams sailing, Images and videos to be posted.

RYA Skippers courses from Cadiz and Gibraltar

With Bongani being based down in Cadiz for the year prior to the Rolex Middle Sea Race she is available for RYA courses and cruising - Atlantic Charters was running a course last week and did some seriously exciting cruising - "off the beaten track" - exploring the abandoned village of Sancti Petri 15 miles south of Cadiz.

Rya courses and Yacht racing now in Cadiz

With 2 boats now down south, one based in Gibraltar (Seawolf) and the other in Cadiz (Bongani) it seems like this year is going to a busy year with guests now opting for the option of weekend trips down to sunnier climate's, here is a little taster as to what the marina in Cadiz has to offer - Puerto Sherry, Cadiz.

These 2 options are a great alternative to RYA courses in the solent, we are also offering to split up the course's between the 3 locations (The Solent - Cadiz and Gibraltar) to give you a great variety in conditions

here to a summer of sun on the water
